The official Municipal Pension Plan redesign engagement process is now closed.
From September 14 to October 23, member and employer engagement occurred through the call centres, webinars, townhalls, Q&A sessions, member and employer newsletters and through the submit a question function on this website.
While the plan partners’ temporary call centre will permanently close at 4 p.m. on October 23, members and employers will continue to have access to submit their inquiries through the mppredesign website, until end of day November 20. After this date, members and stakeholders are asked to follow the normal process to contact their member or employer organization.
Information, including videos, FAQs and member presentations, will continue to be made available on this website until mid 2021.
Welcome to the plan partner’s website
We have conducted a comprehensive review of the Municipal Pension Plan and have developed a package of proposed changes to update the plan. We have been guided by four principles:
- improve equity for members,
- align benefits with how the majority of members use them,
- set a strong foundation for the long-term sustainability of the plan, and
- stay within the current cost envelope.
